DFW AIRPORT NAMES CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas June 4, 2003 — Steve C. Roth has been named director of communications for the Capital Development Program (CDP) at DFW International Airport.

Roth will oversee public and media relations for the $2.6 billion expansion project under way at DFW Airport. Roth will coordinate communication for the CDP with Ken Capps, Vice President Public Affairs for DFW Airport. The five projects in the program are: airfield, SkyLink (automated people mover), Terminal D (international), support and infrastructure, and roadway infrastructure. It is estimated that DFW's CDP investment will generate an additional $34 billion in economic impact on the North Texas economy and an additional 77,000 new jobs over the next 15 years.

Roth brings public relations and media experience to the CDP post. As vice president for InterStar Marketing & Public Relations, Roth handled media relations programs for aviation clients, including DFW Airport, Colorado Springs Airport, Kitty Hawk Air Cargo, Texas Jet and the National Business Aviation Association. Previously, Roth was editor of the Fort Worth Business Press and Texas Environmental News, and was a writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He has a degree in journalism from Texas Christian University.
